A profile of Daniel Zelonky, and Mr. Crude’s top ten “currently feeling” chart appear in the popular Earplug blog and email newsletter:

Thanks to those who’ve bought the Suite Crude CD’s and downloads! We are encouraged by the response so far, and Jayrope’s design work on the digipak is also reciving many compliments.
We are getting a lot of requests to sell CDR’s of our digital (iTunes-only) releases, for reasons of both quality (uncompressed audio) and flexibility (can be copied to various computers & mp3 players). Therefore, CDR’s, with no artwork, are now being made available on request for $10 shipped in the US or $12 to the rest of the world. Multiple disk orders will get a discount – AND better quality for the same cost.

Cosmo Elliptic Label Debuts With Seven Releases
Milwaukee, WI [USA] Daniel Zelonky (aka Suite Crude Revue, Low Res, Crank, etc.) is founder of new label Cosmo Elliptic, which debuts this month with no fewer than seven releases. The label is focused on releasing “hyper-exotic, musically sophisticated and innovative, yet entertaining groove hybrids”.
A full-length album, Suite Crude, is now available on CD at select retail outlets, via direct mail at cosmoelliptic.com, and later digitally through iTunes, Napster, Musicnet, & Rhapsody.
Available exclusively online from the above-listed services are two additional titles comprised of primarily unreleased material, as well as all of Zelonky’s albums under the Crank and Low Res monickers.

In other news, on August 5, 2007 Zelonky collaborated with several Sun Ra Arkestra members and 15-piece band of fine New York musicians on a live performance of his adaptations of some of Sun Ra’s rarest (and most rarefied) compositions at the New York Knitting Factory under the title Sun Ra Impossible Space Circus, presented by Livewired.
